This is a recording of the first webinar in this series—developed in conjunction with the the Epilepsy Leadership Council and the Rare Epilepsy Network—on Curing the Epilepsies, which was held on September 14, 2020.
Curing the Epilepsies is a process undertaken every seven years by the National Institutes of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) where they invite anyone interested in finding cures for the epilepsies to participate in a discussion of the progress made in understanding the mechanisms of the epilepsies, progress made towards potential cures and gathering feedback on updating of the Epilepsy Research Benchmarks.
The moderator for this meeting was Amy Brin, Executive Director & CEO of the Child Neurology Foundation.

Laura Lubbers, PhD – Chief Scientific Officer at Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy (CURE)

Vicky Whittemore, PhD – Program Manager at the National Institutes of Health in the office of Neurological Institute on Neurological Disorders and Stroke

Annapurna Poduri, MD – Pediatric neurologist and the Director of the Programs in Neurogenetics and Epilepsy Genetics at Boston Children’s Hospital
