Seizure Technology – Tracking

This is the first webinar in the series “Technologies to Help Manage Seizures”, highlighting seizure tracking technology.

This webinar provides an overview of seizure tracking technology for families, with a focus on those caring for children with severe epilepsies (also known as developmental and epileptic encephalopathies – DEEs).

DEE-P co-hosted this series with Rob Moss, father to a son with Tuberous Sclerosis Complex and Founder/Developer of Seizure Tracker.

Our panelists were:

Nanci Bentley—an avid seizure tracker for her son

Dr. Inna Hughes, M.D., Ph.D., a pediatric neurologist and professor at the University of Rochester Medical Faculty Group

During this session, you will learn about:

  1. The importance of tracking seizures (particularly for DEEs)
  2. Assessing the value in tracking via paper vs electronic tools
  3. Different seizure tracking options with a focus on the pros and cons of each (ease of use; recording; charting trends; ability to share with doctors, etc.)
