Programs to Help Care for Our Complex Kids – Inpatient and Outpatient

This webinar was recorded on June 7th, 2023.

Complex Care programs are primary care for children with complex chronic medical conditions, often with multiple diagnoses and dependent on technology (i.e. ventilator), tube fed, etc. This is a medical home for your child with clinicians who understand and work to help manage the complexity of your child’s care.

Additionally, complex care programs – both inpatient and outpatient – work to coordinate the care of your child across the health care spectrum in order to achieve the best possible health.

On this webinar, you will hear from a range of complex care providers and families who use them including:

From Cincinnati Children’s Hospital:
Dr. Abby Musial – Medical Director of the Outpatient Complex Care team
Amelia Auberger – Social Work Care Manager, at the Complex Care Center
Scott Callahan – Medical Director of the Inpatient Complex Care Center

From Monroe Carell Jr Children’s Hospital:
Christine Cahill – Mom to a child with medical complexity and a member of the Complex Care Family Advisory Group
Dr. Katie Freundlich – Director of Family, Community and Referring Network Engagement for the Program for Children with Medically Complex Needs
